In Their Hands
Making the girls from this non profit, heard before anyone else.
In Their Hands exists to give girls across Africa better access to sexual health services, education and support. The challenge was creating a brand that felt less like a charity and more like a movement — one that put girls' voices, ambitions and futures front and centre. Something loud and proud and that promised real change for girls.
Working closely with the team, we developed a bold new verbal and visual identity designed to challenge expectations and demand attention. Inspired by protest movements (with echoes of Queen & Slim), youth culture and the power of collective action, the result was a confident charity built around the idea that girls deserve agency over their own lives, health and futures.
We settled on a typographic route with bold colours leaving you in no doubt about this healthcare revolution. I created the tone of voice, messaging and website copy for the organisation, helping bring a revolutionary new identity to life across every touchpoint.
